Why ChatGPT cannot connect to Indizio directly yet — and what works instead.

Where things stand

In developer mode ChatGPT can connect custom MCP servers (Pro, Plus, Business, Enterprise, Education). According to OpenAI, though, it only knows OAuth or no authentication — it cannot send a fixed API key in a header, which is what Indizio requires.

So there is no guide here that would work today. We will write one as soon as either side changes that.

What works instead

  • Claude — as a connector in claude.ai or in Claude Code.
  • Your own automation — via n8n or a Python script, then use the results in ChatGPT.
