Claude (web and desktop) — Indizio API documentation

Indizio as a custom connector in claude.ai and the Claude app — signing in instead of a key.

Two ways — the first one is easier

Claude can sign in to Indizio (OAuth) or send an API key. What that means for you:

	Signing in (recommended)	API key
What you enter	an identifier we give you	your key
Who confirms	you, on a Indizio page	nobody
Disconnecting	one button in the customer area	delete the connector
Scope	you see beforehand what Claude may do	everything

Signing in is recommended. Your key never leaves your customer area, and you can see what is connected at any time.

Way 1 — Signing in (recommended)

Settings → Connectors → Add → Custom connector
MCP server URL: https://indizio.rexago.com/mcp
Authentication: “Sign in now”
OAuth client: “Use your own OAuth client”
OAuth client ID — you will find it in your customer area under My account → Connections:

Claude then sends you to a Indizio page. Sign in if you are not already — it lists what Claude may retrieve and whose balance it draws on. Confirm with Connect.

The identifier is not a secret: it denotes the application “Claude”, not you. Every customer uses the same one. What protects the connection is that only you can consent.

Reviewing or cutting a connection

My account → Connections shows what is connected, what it may do and since when. Disconnect ends the access; an access token already issued may remain valid for up to an hour.

Way 2 — API key as a request header

Needed if your organisation does not offer signing in, or if you want to set up the connector without a confirmation step.

Settings → Connectors → Add → Custom connector

Authentication: “No sign-in”
Under Request headers choose the name X-Api-Key and enter your key (issue a key) — with no prefix

In Team and Enterprise organisations the owner adds the connector under Organization settings → Connectors; members then enable it under Settings → Connectors.

Using it

In the chat, use + → Connectors to switch on the Indizio connector, then ask in plain language. Claude asks before each tool call — only choose “always allow” if you know that every call costs credits.

Good to know

Every request costs credits. What was used is listed under “My account → Usage”, line by line — including an “Access” column telling you whether it ran through this connection or through a key.
One question can trigger several requests: Claude often searches step by step.
With the key route, the key is not shown again after saving. To change it, remove the connector and add it again.
A key in the connector applies to everyone using it in your organisation, and they all draw on the same balance.
